The entry level plan covers WordPress core and plugin updates — carefully applied with a backup first. The mid-tier plan adds up to one hour of content and page edits per month. The upper tier adds up to five hours of edits per month. For sites requiring more intensive management — e-commerce product management, LMS management, page creation, or six or more hours of editing — we work on a custom quote basis. Minor updates and security patches are generally applied promptly. Major version updates get a closer look for known conflicts or compatibility issues before we push them to your live site. The goal is a stable, secure site — not just a green checkmark on an update log.
We take a full backup before every update cycle. If something breaks after an update we have a clean restore point ready and we address it immediately. That's the backup discipline that blind auto-update services skip — and it's the reason we don't.
In almost all cases yes — we require sites on our maintenance plans to be hosted in the Ask4Tech environment. It gives us the complete access and context we need to do the job properly and makes problem resolution significantly faster. If your site is currently hosted elsewhere, migrating to Ask4Tech hosting is typically part of the conversation before a maintenance plan begins. We'll walk you through what that looks like.
Email is the preferred method. Send us the details of what needs to change — copy, images, links, whatever it is — and we'll handle it within your allocated hours. We'll confirm when the changes are live and let you know if a request looks like it will exceed your monthly allocation before we proceed.
We'll let you know before going over your allocation. Additional hours are billed at our standard hourly rate. If you consistently need more hours than your current plan covers we'll recommend moving to a higher tier — it's almost always more cost effective than recurring overages.
Yes — there are no long-term contracts. You can cancel at any time. We'd ask for reasonable notice so we can wrap up any outstanding tasks cleanly, but we're not going to hold you to a 12-month commitment.
